Trust and building relationships are two of the biggest foundations of my practice in working with others. I work hard to create an open and safe environment where clients can feel supported to work through their difficulties and challenges. It is important to me that clients feel they can be open and honest as they share the obstacles they face. I believe it takes courage to reach out for support and consider it an honour and a privilege to work collaboratively with my clients to reach their goals. I grew up in Manitoba and have called Calgary home since 2012. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Calgary and have worked with children, adolescents, adults, parents and families throughout my 12 years of counselling experience. My areas of specialization include trauma-based difficulties, child and adolescent behavioural challenges, parenting and family-based conflict, and addiction. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Collaborative Problem Solving, Attachment and Strength-based approaches, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy.

I have always been fascinated by how people live their lives and interact with others. My belief is that previous experiences and relationships have shaped how we live our lives, and sometimes that works out easily, and other times that’s very difficult for us.

I believe in offering my honest self, in a supportive and caring way. I am honoured to be invited to hear your story to help create positive change. I truly care for all my clients and work hard to help you feel better. It is most important to me that those seeking therapy feel safe, heard, and understood.
