I have come to believe that life can throws us challenges where some of those challenges may feel harder than others to overcome. In those times of need it can be scary and often times daunting to think about reaching out for help. In taking that big step and reaching out, I aim to be that person who can make that transition easier.

Finding a therapist that is a right fit for you is important. I would like to share a little about me to make that process easier. I am a Registered Social Worker that graduated with a Masters of Social Work with a Clinical Specialization from the University of Calgary, as well I have a Bachelors degree in Social Work from Carleton University (Ottawa, ON). I have worked in the field for 10 years working with diverse backgrounds with various mental health concerns and struggles. I provide services to individual adults and couples who are struggling with anxiety, depression, work stress, everyday life stress, interpersonal problems, trauma, relationship difficulties, self esteem, coping skills and grief and loss using a client-centred approach. My therapeutic approach/training is rooted in an eclectic approach of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman modalities, and a Trauma Informed practice where I use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

I strongly value connection and the need for relationship as a key piece of effectively navigating these life challenges. I strive to offer clients compassion, and the space they need to do this. My hope is that through a strong therapeutic relationship we can create shared meaning to strive towards meaningful change. My hope is that we work towards creating a deeper understanding of the issues and concerns that have brought you to therapy as a means to heal and make new connections towards the person you want to be. Thank you for considering Calgary Therapy Services, and I look forward to working with you.
